CHATTAROY HOLLER (Rob Harris)
Picnics at Kewanee Park
Riding bikes till it got too dark
Hillsides covered in dogwood bloom
Sunday best for the Friday dance
Our Yellow Jackets were county champs
Caddy Golf and pizza from Walnut Room
Down the road from that abandoned mine
Is that schoolhouse we attended K through 9

CHORUS 1
In that four mile valley between those hills
Coal dust gathered on the windowsills
Your neighbor would give you his last dollar
We had to look straight up just to see the sun
From the home place out on rural route one
Cut grass for a drink of cold well water
In Chattaroy holler, Chattaroy holler

Catch crawdads in Buffalo Creek
Help Ma Maw string a bushel of beans
Bottle rockets on the 4th of July
Lightning bugs in a mayonnaise jar
Sittin’ on the porch playing guitar
Everybody waved as they drove by
Ann’s restaurant served up pinball burgers and cokes
To some of the world’s best come in how ya been country folks

CHORUS 2
In that four mile valley between those hills
Coal dust gathered on the windowsills
Your neighbor would give you his last dollar
There’s wasn’t much wrong that couldn’t get fixed
With a King James Bible or a hick’ry switch
Long summer days and homemade cherry cobbler
In Chattaroy Holler, Chattaroy…
Holler at me the next time you go back
Then give me fifteen minutes to pack

4-Wheelers kickin’ up a little weekend dirt
Slater's Market and a one-room Christian church
They still talk about that flood in ‘77
That washed away a piece of Almost Heaven

CHORUS 3
In that four mile valley between those hills
Coal dust gathered on the windowsills
Your neighbor would give you his last dollar
We had to look straight up just to see the sun
From the home place out on rural route one
Cut grass for a drink of cold well water
In Chattaroy holler, Chattaroy holler

FEELING THAT TOO  (Rob Harris/Jennifer Denmark/Dave Brainard)
You say there’s no mistakin' that strange sensation
Making it’s way up your spine
That you’re weak legged and a little light headed
On a natural high
Got that sweet emotion flowing from your hat down to your shoes
Baby, I’m feeling that too

CHORUS
I’m feeling that mutual, reciprocal, undeniable
Kind of thing it takes two to do
If you’re feeling that feeling that can only happen
When love’s got a hold on you
Baby, I’m feeling that too

So whatever this is that’s in these kisses
Makin’ the temperature rise
Well it might have ya thinkin' forever’s winkin'
Down from that heavenly skies
Just in case you’re wonderin', babe it ain’t just you
I know I'm I’m feelin that too

THREE MONTHS AND A WINNEBAGO (Rob Harris/Greg Johnson)
He’s got the tank topped off and the luggage packed
There’s a Rand-McNally open in her lap
And they’re gonna visit every dog-eared page
Just a couple loose ends they need to nail down
The leaves will turn before they’re back in town
Get the mail held and the water bill paid
They both know they should’ve done this years ago
They’ve got three months and a Winnebago

CHORUS 1
They’re gonna love the way they’ve been loving all their lives
The perfect picture of a husband and wife
Who’ve loved all the way to the end of the road
And found the quiet peace that comes with letting go
They’ve got three months and a Winnebago

They’ve looked their worst fear in the eye
The doctor said “we’ve got things we could try
But it’s a little too late to be much help”
And to them it feels just like a dream
Like they’re watching life on a movie screen
This kind of thing only happens to someone else
No need to wonder how or when 'cause now they know
They've got three months and Winnebago

CHORUS 2
They’re gonna love the way they’ve been loving all their lives
The perfect picture of a husband and wife
Who’ve loved all the way to the end of the road
And found the quiet peace that comes with letting go
There's a quiet peace that come with letting go

He's got the tank topped off and the luggage packed
There's a Rand-McNally open in her lap
And they're gonna visit every dog-eared page

ON THE FRONT ROW (Rob Harris/David Rivers/Todd Taylor)
I wouldn’t trade nothin' for this beautiful view
From where I’m sittin’ it’s all about you
I’ll go wherever you wanna go
Lead me on and tell me your dreams
I don’t wanna miss a single thing
I wanna be where you are
Cause, baby, you’re the star of my show

CHORUS
I’d camp out all night, be the first in line
To buy my ticket to watch you shine
Gonna sing your song, I want you to know
I’ll be up on my feet, waving my hands
I want you to see I’m your biggest fan
Whatever you do, wherever you go
Baby, I’ll be right there
On the front row

Look at me, I’m front and center
Smiling like a radio contest winner
If I could get any closer
Baby, you know I would
Way up here the lights are brighter
The look in your eye takes me higher and higher
I never knew I could feel this good

(CHORUS)

I’ve got the best seat in the house
Through the last encore
And when the lights go down
I’ll still be wanting more

(CHORUS)

WHAT YOU DO (Rob Harris/Jeremy Johnson)
I’m powerless, nothin' I can do
I’m a total mess
When I’m alone with you
With a touch of your hand
When you whisper so soft
I forget where I am
I find myself lost
I’m completely undone
When You do what you do

Well, I’m about as strong as a house of cards
When you come along, baby, I fall apart
I’m completely undone when You do what you do

And I don’t know how you break me down
But whatever you do, don’t stop now

I'm completely undone when you do what you do

I’m powerless, nothin' I can do
I’m a total mess when I’m alone with you
I'm completely undone when you do what you do
I'm completely undone when you do what you do

DIGGIN’ HOLES (Rob Harris)
I stay up too late then I'm no good the whole next day
I’m tired of diggin’ holes
Tend to eat when I feelin’ down, I need to lose a few pounds
I’m tired of diggin’ holes
No cash, I've use credit….it’ll eat you up if you let it
I’m tired of diggin’ holes

CHORUS
My hands hurt and my back's tired
I feel weak and uninspired
No one to blame but me and it’s taking a toll
I'm tired of diggin' holes

Surf the net on the company dime, now I gotta work overtime
‘Cause I dug myself a hole
Ignored my engine light, car broke down the other night
And left me in a hole
"Does this make me look fat"?
I took too long to answer that
Man, I'm tired of diggin' holes

(CHORUS)

I’ve said things I know aren’t true, hoping I’ll look good to you
But I’m tired of diggin’ holes
I compromised and, in the end, it cost me a real good friend
Now my heart’s got a hole
I put my faith up on the shelf only to find myself
At the bottom of a hole
But no more living underground
Gonna lay my shovel down
‘Cause I’m tired of diggin’ holes

(CHORUS)

TAKES (Rob Harris/David Rivers/Todd Taylor)
A number one candle on her birthday cake
She had more frosting in her hair than on her plate
She smiled for the camera
As it flashed I remember thinking, “I hope this takes”

One day she’s a baby crawling ‘cross the floor
Turn around and there’s a young man standing at the door
He shook my hand and said, "I'll have her home before ten
No matter what it takes"

CHORUS 1
And as I watched her walk away
All I could do was hope and pray
That all the love and every lesson given along the way
Takes

In the same old gym where she had her first high school dance
We teared up as she marched in to pomp and circumstance
I hope she knows as she moves on
What we’ve known all along
That girl's got what it takes

CHORUS 2
And as she walked across that stage
All we could do was hope and pray
That all the love and every lesson given along the way
Takes

It’s three months after graduation day
And I’m helping her pack the trunk of that second-hand Chevrolet

CHORUS 3
She blows a kiss and drives away
Her mom and I just hope and pray
That all the love and every lesson given along the way...takes
I hope it takes

MIDDLE AGE (Rob Harris)
There’s a day when Mother Nature catches up with Father Time
Once they get together you’re never the same
When they hook up they form the perfect middle age storm
And everything you know begins to change

CHORUS 1
Gettin’ lucky means you remembered where you parked
Getting’ some action means you’re finally reg-u-lar
When you suck in your gut, both your ankles swell up
Some things change with middle age

You lose hair where you want it and you grown hair where you don’t
You talk about how much things used to cost
You can only read fine print if you hold it at arm’s length
And you can’t go to the mall without getting lost

CHORUS 2
You make a midnight run to Kroger for some Aspercreme
An all-nighter means you didn’t get up to pee
You make your cereal choice for the fiber instead of the toys
Some things change with middle age

Well, look on the bright side -- there’s lots of new games to play
Like ‘Lose Your Marbles’ and ‘Orthopedic Twister’
Red rover, red rover, the doctor says bend over
And twenty questions shouted in your good ear

Well, you used to quote every fact from here to the moon
Now you can’t remember why you walked into the room
You ran with the rock ‘n roll crowd
Now the music’s a little too loud
You were always a party fool
Now your back goes out more than you
You replace the mirror over the bed
With a food group pyramid
It’s such a pain how things change
With middle age

HOW TO BEND (Rob Harris/David Rivers)
Light from the trail of a falling star
Notes from the strings of a sad guitar
Willows in the hands of an angry April wind
Know how to dance 'cause they know how to bend

The stubborn steel of a railroad track
Tears for someone who’s never coming back
Highways and rivers twist and turn and then
Find their way home 'cause they know how to bend

CHORUS
I’d be in one piece
With nothing to mend
And I could stand on my feet again
You would still be beside me
I wouldn’t need to pretend
My heart wouldn’t break
If it knew how to bend

Truth from lips that struggle to come clean
Faith underneath the weight of shattered dreams
Knees that kneel every now and then
Find forgiveness cause they know how to bend
I wish my heart knew how to bend
